Proxy Bid means someone has already placed a higher bid than your current offer. In order to be the highest bidder you must exceed the current high bid that has been placed. Our system works like Ebay meaning you can put a $1,000 bid on a $5 item and if no one else bids you will get it for $5 if other people bid and the bidding stops at $250 you will get it for $250 you are protected until the bidding exceeds $1,000 at which time you will get an email letting you know your high bid has been surpassed.
